FermaScaffolds are molecular scaffolds produced through Fermalogic's proprietary fermentation processes. Molecular scaffolds are used in fields such as drug discovery, chemical biology, chemogenomics, and biosensor development.
Two macrolide Fermascaffolds, erythronolide B (EB) and 3-O-alpha-mycarosylerythronolide B (MEB), are available in 1mg, 10mg and 100mg sizes. EB and MEB are erythromycin biosynthetic pathway intermediates and are useful to erythromycin manufacturers who need to monitor EB and MEB levels in fermentation broth. Custom macrolide scaffolds or larger quantities of our existing scaffolds can be made on request.
